Canon i560 inkjet printers

 

Black uses type 3e cartridges

colors all use type 6 cartridges for individual colors

these are available from the state contract supplier

 

In the event of problems, use Control Panel > Printers > Canon i560 > Properties and select the Maintenance tab.

Use the cleaning functions to see if this clears up the problem.  If printing is still poor, replace the cartridge(s) affected and retain the cartridge(s) for exchange as defective (mark as defective!).

Star Micronics SP542 Printer

Star Micronics SP542 is a 40 character per line dot matrix printer with autocut, parallel interface, using 3 inch wide standard (not thermal) paper rolls as sold for calculators, and an RC200B black ribbon cassette. Because it is dot matrix using a ribbon, the print should not fade over time as happens with thermal printers. It can handle up to 3 ply (original plus 2 copies) paper if necessary, but normally will just be using one ply.

Basic scanner, no document feeder option.  USB connection.  Current vendor CDW-G. 

 

Epson Perfection 4490

Scanner with optional document feeder. 

Our experience (with public users) is a high attrition rate and not cost-effective to repair; do not order this model again.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

APC (American Power Corporation) Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) unit

Last replacement was: 2007 October 8 -- Prior replacement was: 2002 December 19 (average 5 year lifespan)

The APC is a SU1400NET SmartUPS, 12 volt/17Amphours unit. It takes 2 (two) RBC11 replacement batteries side by side, linked together. Each is about 7.13" by 2.99" by 6.58". Order two at a time and replace both at the same time.
