Answering the telephone:
"Boreham Library, this is [your name], may I help you?"
Transferring the phone to another number:
- While the person is on the line, EXPLAIN that you will be transferring them, but please call back if there is any problem.
- LOOK at the phone display screen. FIND the Trnsfer tab and press the button under that.
- DIAL the number to receive the call.
- When the person answers, EXPLAIN who the caller is and what they are calling about.
- Press Trnsfer button again.
- If nobody answers, press the button under the Resume tab.
- Ask if the caller would like voice mail. If so, press the Trnsfer button again, the phone number, and then the Trnsfer button a second time.
